Katherine Jelte is an Assistant Art Director working in film and television. She was recently approved by the Art Directors Guild to work on union signatory projects. Outside of her AD role, she continues to practice set design, graphic design, and illustration to support clearer communication across departments and keep her creative skills sharp.
Katherine holds a BFA in Theatre Design and a BA in Film and Media Studies from the University of Utah, and earned her MFA in Scenic and Production Design from UCLA TFT. Her background in both theatre and film gives her a strong foundation in visual storytelling and collaboration. She brings a focused, team-oriented approach to each production and is always exploring new tools and workflows to stay adaptable and current.
She works comfortably in Rhino, Unreal Engine, Twinmotion, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, Maya, and SketchUp.
